Born and raised in Turkana County, formerly part of Kenya's Northern Frontier Districts, Dr. Aukot brings a deeply grounded understanding of marginalization, governance challenges, and social justice to his legal and policy work. His career reflects a strong conviction that Africa's vast potential can only be realized through transformative leadership, strong institutions, and constitutionalism.

He is the Founder and Team Leader of E&A Law Consulting, a firm specializing in constitutional law, governance, human rights, and policy advisory services across Kenya, Africa, and internationally.

Constitutional Leadership & Governance

Dr. Aukot is widely recognized for his pivotal role in the development of Kenya's 2010 Constitution, having served as Director, CEO, and Member of the Committee of Experts (CoE) mandated with drafting the Constitution. Under his leadership, the process culminated in one of Africa's most progressive constitutional frameworks, reshaping Kenya's governance, legal, and institutional landscape.

Political Leadership & Public Engagement

Dr. Aukot is the Founder of Thirdway Alliance Kenya, initially established as a political movement advocating for alternative, principled, and transformative leadership, and later registered as a fully-fledged political party. He was the Thirdway Alliance Kenya Presidential Candidate in the 2017 General Elections, campaigning on a platform of constitutionalism, integrity, and generational responsibility.

He firmly believes that Africa must write a new narrative grounded in accountability, opportunity, and justice.
